7th December 2016 Windsurfing: Rhosneigr Wind Direction: SSW Wind Stength: F6/F7 Surf / Sea State: big waves and chop Air Temperature: 13 Sea Temperature: 11.1 Weather: cloud Max Speed: Distance Covered: About 20 out and a few kiters. Rigged 86l tri/4.2m which was good except for a few short lulls which unfortunately coincided with breaks in waves so I could not escape the pummelings I was getting in the breaking waves; short period too making it even harder to escape. Fluffed lots of gybes until I remembered to turn tight and catch waves then some lovely rides down but by then was knackered so only sailed and hour or so. Some mastish waves and chop for a time. Chatted briefly to Colwyn-Rik on beach. then the Rusty who I met in Tenerife traveled up from Brentwood after the good forecast. Some hard times then cracking rides so 3* overall. |
